We did it and thank you!
We did it, Melrose and Ward 3! It has been a long, wonderful journey. There are so many things to say, but for now I need to express my gratitude:
First and foremost, thank you to my wife, Yuanshu and our children Miles and Olive. Your unwavering encouragement and support kept me going every step of the way.
Thank you, Robb Stewart, for your six years of service as our City Councilor - your commitment to our city is deeply appreciated. And thank you to all of the candidates who had the courage to put their names on the ballot. As I’ve learned in conversations with you, we all share a love for this community and a desire to do what we think is best.
To Yes! For Melrose: what an incredible group of positive, tireless volunteers! I have made so many new friends along the way and it was so rewarding to see the efforts pay off – a resounding victory for the Override campaign!
Finally, thank you to everyone who voted. Whether the outcome aligned with your hopes or not, your participation is what makes this country special. Our democracy should never be taken for granted and I look forward to productive dialogue about our city.
I’m excited for this new chapter—an override passed, fresh faces on the Council, and the work that lies ahead. I’m up to the challenges you’ve raised and my door is open to everyone - in Ward 3 and across Melrose. Let’s go, Melrose!
