Let’s Go!!!
Now that I’ve been sworn in, let’s get work…
On the City side, things have been moving quickly. The new City Council members were sworn in on January 5, and we’ve been busy with reappointments, department leadership transitions, and ongoing housing and development-related issues. I’ve also been appointed to the Finance Committee, Boards & Commissions Committee, and DPW Committee. For a bit of context, these committees are essentially extensions of City Council work—they allow us to dig deeper, do the research, and bring well-vetted items to the full Council for a vote.
I am also serving on the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) team alongside department leadership. The CIP is the City’s five-year roadmap for major facility and infrastructure needs. (For reference, the last CIP was completed in 2022 and can be found here.)
As I continue getting up to speed, I’d really appreciate your input. I put together a short survey to help guide my priorities and strengthen communication and transparency in Ward 3 and across the City. If you have a few minutes, I hope you’ll take it.
And if you don’t already, I invite you to visit my blog—I’ll be updating the blog regularly with local news, projects, and events.
Thank you again for your support. I’m committed to serving Ward 3 and staying connected with neighbors.
