Is it art? No, it’s the Streets of Melrose..

Every couple of years, Melrose DPW evaluates road conditions and publishes a prioritized list of streets to be repaired. The last two assessments were completed in 2020 and 2023. The next citywide review is planned for Spring 2026, with an updated ranking map to follow shortly afterward.

In the meantime, I’m working with DPW to see if we can update the current 2023 map to reflect the work that’s already been completed—essentially a “before and after” view showing progress to date. DPW is also exploring ways to present the rankings more clearly so the map is easier to read.

Thanks, DPW—more details soon.
