Ever wonder which sidewalks the City plows? Here’s a Ward 3 map showing the routes you can count on to be cleared—so you can get where you’re going without the uncertainty of whether a sidewalk has been addressed yet. You can find maps for other parts of Melrose here.

A quick note: DPW focuses on the main sidewalks and walkways with the highest pedestrian traffic, access to schools, and public transportation. As you can imagine, it isn’t feasible for DPW to plow every sidewalk in the city. So, if you are an able-bodied resident, please remember to shovel the sidewalk in front of your property—it’s part of your responsibility. 🙂
